In 2004, Valerie developed and produced a one-hour music television special, based on her song "My Girlfriends Quilt." It airs on American Public Television annually in October in recognition of breast cancer awareness month (check your local PBS station for schedule).

This performance production celebrates the close relationships and cherished bonds that can form between women: as friends, as sisters, mothers and daughters, and as cancer survivors. It is an inspirational tribute to friendship and the healing power of music featuring original, heartfelt songs performed by Valerie and popular favorites like "Lean On Me" and "Thank You For Being A Friend," her version of which was featured on LIVE With Regis and Kelly. The DVD includes the one hour show, an interview with Valerie, and the bonus music video of her award-winning country-pop song "Hey! That’s My Kiss."
